PHILOSOPHY:

 Our philosophy is that each child can develop self-confidence and independence as he/she experiences various learning activities.  Through creative art, role playing, manipulative materials, music, small and large motor skill activities,science and literature children can reach their God-given potential.

 

GOALS:

  • All children will develop a POSITIVE ATTITUDE TOWARD LEARNING.
  • To provide a HAPPY SUPPORT TEAM for all students that includes good parent/teacher relationships.
  • To provide a nurturing and caring environment for all students to LEARN ABOUT GOD'S LOVE.
  • To promote SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT of children, because there is a skill in being a friend.
  • All children will understand their surroundings and to ACCEPT SIMILARITIES AND DIFFERENCES.
  • To equip children with the knowledge that school is a POSITIVE PLACE TO BE, as well as a place where they can experience success.
 
 

TEACHER/STUDENT RATIOS:

        Toddlers       (12-24 months, as of 9/1/2011)    1 teacher to 6 children
         Two's          (2 yrs. old, as of 9/1/2011)           1 teacher to 9 children 
         Three's       (3 yrs. old, as of 9/1/2011)            1 teacher to 12 children  
         Four's         (4 yrs. old, as of 9/1/2011)            1 teacher to 14 children  

ENROLLMENT:

  1.  Enrollment requires submitting the following to the PDO Director:
  2.  Completed Application form (attached below)
  3.  Non-refundable Registration fee of $50.00 per child)
  4.  Physical Exam form (attached below), signed and dated by physician.  Immunizations must be current and child must have seen a physician within the last 12 months.

       ** All fees are due at the time of registration.

        Monthly Tuition:                                                    $260.00
               M/W PDO             $140.00
               T/Th PDO             $145.00
 
        ** Late fee of $15 is added to amount due after the 10th of each month.

        PDO HOURS 
                Mondays and Wednesdays         9:00am-2:00pm
                Tuesdays and Thursdays           9:00am-2:00pm

        PRE-SCHOOL (4 year olds) HOURS
                 Mondays - Thursdays               9:00am-2:00pm


CURRICULUM:

    All staff teach using developmentally appropriate curriculum.  Classrooms are set up with Learning Centers, using cooking, science, Math, puppets, drama, water play, colors, shapes and textures for experiential learning.  Each week activities are designed around a unit based, Bible-based, theme-of-the-week, such as nursery rhymes, seasons, holidays, animals, health and safety.
 
CREATIVE PROJECTS are based on the process, using a variety of creative medium

        **PDO and Pre-School calendar observes all holidays of the Forney ISD
      
        Meet the Teacher
 
        Chapel for ages 3 and up is held once a month. Parents are encouraged to attend.
 
        Parent Organization meets the 2nd Tuesday of each month in Ms. Amy's office
